Art walk through Leeds
August 10, 2009
An event has been planned for the first Wednesday of each month and this event promises to be very exciting and interesting for art lovers living in the city of Leeds. Various organisations from the city have come together to create the Leeds Art Walk.
The Leeds Art Walk is a tour that takes those interested in all different types of art from Leeds and the surrounding areas to visit the most talked about exhibitions that are being held at that time.
In August, the Leeds Art Walk decided to collaborate with the network from Exposure Leeds. Those from Exposure Leeds were able to photograph their experiences whilst taking the tour and some activities for everyone to partake in were also been organised. Anyone who would like to go on this monthly tour is encouraged to do so, regardless of their level of photography skill. You don’t have to be a commercial photographer or have many years of experience, just go along and if you would like to take your camera, do so and get involved.
The next Leeds Art Walk will take place on Wednesday 2nd September 2009 and will begin at 5:30pm. The last exhibition of the tour is scheduled to be visited at 7pm so the tour will end after this time. If you would like to attend, the walkers will be meeting in Leeds ready for the 5:30pm departure. There is no charge for the tour and whilst it is not essential that you book your place, it can be helpful for the organisers if you do so.
