UK Teenager wins Veolia Environnement Young Wildlife Photographer of the Year

The Wildlife Photographer of the Year awards recently took place; competition was fierce this year with the competition receiving more entries than ever and the photographs entered in the competition being of an incredibly high standard. There were around 43,000 entries in total and entrants from 93 countries took part. The majority of wildlife photographs were from photographers in the UK and USA but an impressive increase of entries came from Russia and China. Competition organisers and Veolia Environnement, sponsors of this event, have been delighted with the increased level of interest in the awards this year.

Production of Conde Nasts’s Gourmet magazine is soon to cease and this month’s November issue of this popular magazine will be the last. This news has saddened many regular readers of the food magazine because Gourmet is believed by many to be the best magazine available in the food market.
