Powerhouse to move to new studio in Leeds

Powerhouse Photography are delighted to announce that they are moving to a new larger studio in January 2010.

Our new home is the ground floor of the 1912 Mill, just off Farsley town street in north Leeds, and features:

  • Up to 24,000 sq ft of studio space
  • Kitchen in-studio for food photography
  • Model changing rooms
  • Dedicated product shot rigs for fast turnaround pack shots
  • Daylight studio zone
  • Client area with wi-fi

Neil Adams, Managing Director commented on the move “It’s been a tough year for the creative industry, and commercial photographers have had no exemption. We focussed on stability earlier this year, and with some exciting new business wins, we now have a great platform for growth. The new studio will allow us to offer our clients a better service without increasing costs.”

BBC Countryfile Photographic Competition winner announced

Empty shops become art galleries in Leeds

Empty shops and spaces within the city of Leeds have become art galleries as Art In Unusual Places has been working with various companies to obtain the use of these areas to display different pieces of art from a range of artists currently in the Leeds area. Many shops have been and will be used in this project and the sharing of artwork from local artists in this way has been creating a buzz around the city.

Todmorden Photography Society annual exhibition

The annual Todmorden Photography Society exhibition recently took place in the market town of Todmorden in Yorkshire. The exhibition ran for four days and attracted a large number of visitors keen to explore and enjoy the photographs that were on display.
