Nikki Sixx, bass guitarist from hard rock band Motley Crue, was synonymous with living the ultimate rock n roll life style with a substance addiction that went with it. The Internal architecture of food photography

A recent trend to hit food photography is to cut the food in half and capture its own internal structure. Grub Street New York, an online food magazine, recently featured a series of images from online blog Scandybars which involves taking your average chocolate bar, cutting it in half and scanning the middle of it for the viewer’s pleasure. These delectable images showcase the intricate detail of what goes on in the middle of a chocolate bar. From the delicate folded layers of a Flake, to the nutty caramel inside of a Snickers, these range of images are sure to get any chocolate lover’s tummy rumbling. (more…)

Vogue creative director’s photography exhibition

Photography shoot to get the hearts racing

British athletes have stripped off for a risqué photography shoot in the name of charity. The athletes are taking part in a campaign by Alfa Romeo who has partnered with Heart Research UK, a national heart charity who has team up with a commercial photographer and is based in Leeds. Fergus Greer, the photographer in question captured leading British athletes in a series of racy-themed images including Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Kelly Sotherton, Lisa Dobriskey and Iwan Thomas MBE. Entitled ‘Without heart we would be mere machines’, the campaign is based on the same Alfa Romeo strap line. (more…)
