Dog Photographer of the Year 2009 winner announced
October 6, 2009
Terry Pover is the proud winner of this year’s Dog Photographer of the Year competition. The photography competition received many impressive entries from photographers from all over the world and of all ages and levels of skill but it was Terry’s photograph of a dog pulling a dinghy whilst swimming in a lake that came out on top and proved to be the favourite of the judges. The winning photograph was not only voted overall winner for the whole of the competition but was also announced the winner of the Dogs at Work competition category too.
All of the photographs entered into the Dog Photographer of the Year competition captured stunning images of dogs at work and at play and also explored creatively their personalities and what makes them so special to us. Through the photographs sent in it is possible to see the remarkable relationships between dogs and humans and what an important part dogs play in our lives.
Not everyone is able to capture such effective and creative images of dogs and other pets or animals. It could therefore be advantageous to seek the assistance of a commercial photographer if you would like to have a photograph of your dog like those entered in this competition for yourself. A commercial photographer will be able to photograph your dog or other pets in many different ways and will have the experience and knowledge to be able to capture special moments of all kinds. There are many commercial photographers in Leeds, London and other large cities within the UK that work well with pets.
