Empty shops become art galleries in Leeds

Empty shops and spaces within the city of Leeds have become art galleries as Art In Unusual Places has been working with various companies to obtain the use of these areas to display different pieces of art from a range of artists currently in the Leeds area. Many shops have been and will be used in this project and the sharing of artwork from local artists in this way has been creating a buzz around the city.

‘Beauty in the Ordinary’ is one art project that was commissioned by Leeds City Public Arts and that has been displayed within a vacant space within the city. ‘Beauty in the Ordinary’ explores everyday life through the use of photographs and encouraged local schools and people of all ages to get involved in their local communities and photography.
