It’s time for the Wish You Were Here photography competition once more

November 28, 2009

The Sunday Express and Old Pulteney single malt whisky have been joining together for the Wish You Were Here photography competition since 2004 and interest in this competition grows considerably each year. It is once again time for those interested in photography to visit the British coast and attempt to capture the winning shot for the next competition. The aim of the competition, as always, is to try to create a photograph similar to that of a traditional postcard featuring the British seaside. This competition is open to amateur photographers only and so entries from professional photographers and those involved in commercial photography are not permitted.

The prize for the winner of this competition will be £2500 and also a visit to the Old Pulteney Distillery located in the north of Scotland and will also have the opportunity to fill their own bottle of Old Pulteney whisky. The winning photograph will also be featured in the Sunday Express and also Amateur Photographer Magazine, a sponsor of this competition. The closing date for entries this year is 24th January 2010.

If you are interested in maritime photography but are not able to capture photographs like this yourself then it may be advisable to the seek the assistance of a creative photographer in your area. Whilst images produced by a professional photographer cannot be entered into a competition like this, they can be perfect to add to a personal collection or used for business purposes.

A commercial photographer in Leeds or elsewhere in the UK will be able to capture beautiful photographs of seaside locations and environments for you.
