June 18, 2010
In New York City Jennifer Lopez, wearing a dazzling sequin Emilio Pucci mini dress and surrounded by her adoring fans, unveiled a brand new billboard as part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s ‘Be Great’ youth support campaign. The Times Square billboard features an adorable childhood photograph of a young Ms Lopez, in which she sports plaited pigtails, alongside the message ‘Be Extraordinary.’
J.Lo, along with other high profile alumni, is supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s (BCGA) ‘Be Great’ youth campaign, as they work to increase public awareness in respect of some of the distressing issues facing today’s young American’s, including, gang violence, drugs, poverty, academic failure and obesity.
Ms Lopez herself is an alumnus of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club in the Bronx, where, as a youngster, she learnt to sing and dance as part of the Club’s renowned “K Company” performing arts programme. From those early days, she has gone on to become a multi talented superstar, a successful businesswoman and mother of young twins, Max and Emme.
Commercial photographers captured several pictures of the stunning star, who was joined by her musician husband Marc Anthony to watch the billboard being unveiled. Both professional photographers stateside and commercial photographers in the UK realise how vital photographs are to ensuring the success of clients business’ and projects. The use of quality professional photographs for advertising purposes, even without a superstar at an unveiling, can ensure a campaign’s success.
