Leeds photograph wins schoolboy photography competition

December 10, 2009

Pudsey schoolboy Luke Hudson has been awarded a top prize in the prestigious 2009 Colliers Green Focus photography competition. The winning photograph taken by Luke represents Leeds in the past and also in the present. To do this effectively, he photographed some historic ironwork that was located in front of flats that are currently being built in the Granary Wharf area of Leeds. This image was chosen out of photographs entered from over 300 other children and won him first prize.

Luke is only 13 years old and really impressed the judges of the competition with his vision and photography skills. Luke received a digital camera for himself and also a camera for his school as his prize. The competition organisers are thrilled with the way the pupils managed to mix geography with photography and explore their surroundings in photographs so effectively.

If you are interested in the photographing of buildings and the environment around you but do not have the necessary photography knowledge and skills yourself, it may be highly beneficial to work with a commercial photographer in order to achieve the desired shots. A 360 photographer can be particularly helpful when trying to photograph large areas because of the vast amounts of information 360 photography can capture.

A commercial photographer or 360 photographer in Leeds or other towns and cities in the UK will be able to help you to capture your local environment effectively in photographs for personal or commercial use.
