Newlyweds win compensation for disastrous wedding photographs

October 8, 2009

Mark and Sylvia Day from Wakefield in North Yorkshire had hoped that they would have a beautiful collection of wedding photographs to keep with them forever to remind them of their special day. They hired a professional photographer from their local area, Wakefield near Leeds, and paid him £1450 for his services.

However, reports in the papers this week show that the couple were horrified when they received their photographs due to the low quality of the images that were sent. The photographs of their wedding day were taken from inappropriate positions meaning that heads and other important details within the shots are cut off, poor lighting was used meaning that many of the images are dark and unclear and unflattering angles were also used by the photographer meaning that none of the special features of the day are captured at their best. The couple have now been awarded £950 after suing the photographer they had hired.

This is a sad example demonstrating how important it is that you work with highly skilled and reliable commercial photographers. Lighting, positioning, angles, equipment and layout are all highly important aspects for a commercial photographer to consider when taking photographs and these factors should have played an important role in the photographing of this couple on their wedding day. Always ensure that a commercial photographer is experienced and trustworthy by researching a little about their business and viewing work that they have previously done.

A superb commercial photographer can capture the perfect shots for whatever your photography needs are and will work with you efficiently to ensure that you are pleased with the final results. Spend a little time researching the commercial photographer in Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester or wherever you may be to be sure that you will receive high quality photographs.
