Penguins would rather do their own photography
December 2, 2009
Photographer David Schultz recently visited Antarctica with his photography equipment in order to capture photographs of the stunning scenery and the local Emperor penguin population. What David experienced out on the ice will remain in his memory always as he was able to interact with the penguins more than he had ever imagined and captured these moments in photographs.
Whilst his camera was set up on his tripod out on the ice one day, David was approached by a group of penguins who seemed immensely interested in him, his equipment and what he was doing out there with them on the ice. Once David had backed away from his photography equipment, he was able to use his second camera to capture photographs of the penguins as they explored his equipment a little further. At one point, one penguin appeared to be looking through the viewfinder of the camera whilst two other penguins posed in front of the lens. Through the photographing of this scene and the other antics of the penguins and their chicks whilst David was out in Antarctica with them, David has been able to capture some incredible shots of these amazing creatures and is extremely thankful that he was there to have this wonderful opportunity.
If you are interested in the photography of animals it could be hugely beneficial to work with a commercial photographer who specialises in this field of expertise. A commercial photographer or creative photographer in Leeds or other major cities in the UK will be able to assist you.
