Powerhouse is making a move
June 12, 2010
Having out grown the former studio in Rodley, at Powerhouse, we have purchased the notable television studio, Sunnybank Mills in Farsley, Leeds. With 20 years experience in the commercial photography sector, we have a wealth of experience in creating stunning images for design, packaging, advertising and editorial requirements and have bought the premises at Sunnybank Mills with a view to expanding our high definition video service.
Sunnybank Mills, where famous ITV shows, including Heartbeat and Emmerdale, were filmed until last year, has been given a new lease of life by our photographers, whose work includes roomset photography, lifestyle photography, food and fashion images. Our professional photographers, who count Taylors of Harrogate, Marks and Spencer and celebrity chef Ainsley Harriot as patrons, boast an enviable client list, which not only consists of the aforementioned clientele but also international brands, leading advertising and design agencies and small independent companies.
Award winning photographers, Richard White and Tony Lendill, along with fellow Leeds businessman, and Managing Director Neil Adams formed Powerhouse in 2000. The directors, who currently employ five talented commercial photographers in Leeds, were recently joined by Operations Manager, Mark Backhouse.
Talking of the recent move Mr Adams said:
“There has been intense pressure on all companies due to the recession, but we made a decision very early on not to compromise on quality.”
In respect of plans to expand Powerhouse’s high definition video service, he added;
“It is a definite growth area for us over the next few years and one we hope will enable us to firmly cement out reputation as the leading digital photographic agency in the North.”
