Selling Property – The Big Picture

May 18, 2010

When prospective buyers are looking for a house to purchase, attracting them to the vendor’s property is the key. More often than not, the first thing that will draw in these soon-to-be homeowners is an eye-catching photograph.

Future buyers will initially be keen to see photographs of both the interior and the exterior of the property followed by further details, including floor plans. In order to appeal to buyers, and reduce the time between listing and selling the property, estate agents try to take photographs that are streets ahead of offerings from their competitors.

Whether potential vendees are from Edinburgh, Penzance or somewhere in between, via the Internet, all are able to view house details for properties nationwide and overseas. A panoramic view of a property on the Internet allows the vendee to appreciate each aspect of the house more fully, before pursuing a viewing.

For a property in Yorkshire for example, a professional commercial photographer in Leeds could effortlessly capture the ideal shot, as they would have the necessary equipment and expertise required to take a panoramic photo. The results could then be made available online, not just in Leeds, but countrywide.

The most successful estate agents take time to think of all the little details, this is what separates good pictures from great pictures. Although training is available for estate agents who wish to keep their photography in-house, those who employ a professional 360 photographer find this medium can make the property more memorable to the prospective buyers and more sellable for the vendor.
