Sony Twilight photography competition results announced
October 22, 2009
Falmouth student Dan McCrum has been announced as one of the nine winners of the Sony Twilight Football Photography Competition. This competition was launched by Sony to showcase the photographic abilities of a new range of Sony cameras.
Photographs of a football game during twilight hours were requested and Dan was one of the lucky photographers whose image was selected by the judges. The nine lucky winners were then given the opportunity to photograph football matches in the international Twilight Football event that tool place in late September. The winners were provided with a new range of cameras and camcorders from Sony, capable of low light shots. Dan was sent to Australia to photograph the football match that took place in the Pinnacle desert.
Dan is currently studying BA (Hons) Press & Editorial Photography at University College Falmouth and hopes to one day work in commercial photography as a travel photographer. Photography courses are available at universities throughout the UK such as the BA (Hons) Cinema & Photography course currently available at Leeds and BA (Hons) Photography currently available at Manchester Metropolitan University.
For professional photographs of sporting events such as football matches, it can be advantageous to request the assistance of a commercial photographer. A commercial photographer will have the appropriate equipment and experience to capture the perfect shots of an event such as an evening football match which could be difficult for an amateur to photograph effectively. A professional commercial photographer in Leeds, Manchester or other towns and cities in the UK will be able to photograph all special occasions and events successfully for you.
