TNT Photography Competition
August 12, 2009
TNT is holding its 19th competition for those interested in writing and photography. From the amount of interest and excitement it has caused in previous years, there will be many photographers eager to take part. The TNT Magazine Travel Writing and Photography Awards have experienced and respected judges ready to evaluate the entries. Tom Hall from Lonely Planet will be one of these judges this year.
The awards competition is divided into three different categories so people with all different skills and ideas can enter. There is the Travel Photography section which encourages entrants to send in photographs covering the subjects of The Natural World, People or Your London and there is also the Travel Writing section.
Anyone interested in any of these subjects is welcome to enter. How skilled and experienced you are in photography will not affect your chances. So whether you are someone who has never yet used a digital camera or even a successful commercial photographer, your work will be considered for the awards. Your location is also not of significance. If you reside in the UK you can enter whether you live at the top of a mountain in Wales or in the centre of a busy city such as Leeds.
There is around £5000 worth of prizes available. Entrants that reach the final stages of the competition will also have their work featured on the TNT website, published in the TNT magazine and displayed at the TNT Sun and Snow Show on 10th October 2009. The closing date for photography entries is 21st August 2009.
