What a tweet – Dannii and Kris introduce baby Ethan

The arrival of a new baby is a time of great joy and delight for new parents. Proud parents Dannii Minogue and her rugby playing partner Kris Smith have turned down a lucrative magazine deal, and chosen to introduce their first child, a baby boy, via Twitter, the social networking platform.

The X Factor Star and Kris both posted a photo of their son Ethan Edward Smith on their respective Twitter accounts only days after his arrival on 5 July 2010 in Melbourne, Australia.

Along with Ethan’s picture, in which she looks resplendent and relaxed, Dannii ‘tweeted’,

“Hey everyone thanks for all your wishes, we are loving baby Ethan and Kris is the best dad in the world. X”

Dannii’s sister and Ethan’s famous Aunty, superstar Kylie, cooed,

“Congratulations to my little Sister danniiminogue and KrisSmith13 on their beautiful little boy, Ethan. He is gorgeous!!!”

While Kris’s mother Elsie said,

“Dannii and Kris are both absolutely over the moon. Ethan’s beautiful, he has fair hair. They are both looking forward to getting him home and starting life as a family”.

No doubt, despite shunning the lucrative magazine deal, there will come a time that Danni and Kris will want to capture a professional portrait of their new baby boy.
